Weddings ~ Rochelle & Mitch
Hellooo friends,
Happy Friday!
Just 3 weeks ago, I had the opportunity to 2nd shoot for Bailie at a Wedding allllll the wayyyy in Coffs Harbour. Okay, it’s really not that far, just a short plane ride. But the thing is, it was my first Destination Wedding.. out of NSW anyways! (I’m still dreaming of landing more jobs out of NSW, and er yes one day…the chance to shoot a wedding in Europe or something! One can dream, right? :) )
I love, love, love the ceremony/reception choice of Rochelle & Mitch’s wedding. As you scroll down, you will understand why!
I’ve seen weddings at this very location before, so beautiful.. here we have Villa Vivante. A beautiful holiday house/function venue perched high up on the hill over looking the ocean. So you get ready in the bedrooms up stairs, ceremony downstairs by the pool, and reception indoors as well – so convenient, bad-weather proof all under one roof! Views were splendid. Weather, not so splendid that day unfortunately!
Forecasted for rain and thunderstorms, weren’t the only problems Rochelle & Mitch prepared to face that day.
Miracle happened after Miracle, the rain staying away during the ceremony; their flower bouquets were stuck in Sydney (from that Qantas strike) but their florist managed to put something else together the night before, Wedding dress needed emergency alterations that day – luckily there was a dressmaker just down the road etc.etc. All of these obstacles they overcame, very lucky!
Enough of my blabbering, photos – do your job!

Wearing into the shoes hours before the ceremony!

How gorgeous are these custom made bridesmaid dresses?? Love the fabric, and fell in love with that colour ever since this wedding haha… now I want a dress in that colour in my wardrobe too!

‘Let’s Partayyy!’ .. too cute!

A long. tiring, but fun day!

P.S. Have you ‘LIKED’ me on Facebook? :) (I hope you have!)
New Branding. Check.
I’ve been waiting, and waiting for that inspiration, motivation and time to come around when I can finally put together branding for my Photography business. Honestly, I had no idea at the beginning of the year that I would land a handful of solo wedding and other photo jobs during this wedding season and already set for the first few months of 2012. Things happened, too quickly. Though, I’m grateful that people appreciate my work.
I’m a freelance graphic designer by trade designing logos etc. for businesses, and surprisingly found myself tangled up in my own indecisiveness about my branding.
- What do I see in ‘Clarzzique Photography’?
- What do I want potential clients to think of ‘Clarzzique Photography’?
Took me several months to discover my photography style; Candid, Natural and {hopefully} fun!
Which therefore inspired the look and feel that you see here.
I’ve been a little (more) than in love with floral illustrations lately; couldn’t design it myself as I’m not much of an artist…so I hired my sister to do it for me :P
The perks of having an inhouse illustrator+artist+fellow graphic designer. Win!
Initial ideas from her sketch book
Turned into reality overnight – I spent a ‘half-nighter’, quickly putting together a simple website which you can now access through www.clarzzique.com !

I encourage you all to check out my sister’s work! especially if you want to get something designed as well! Head on over to her blog at Dawnelia.com !
Last but not least, another shameful plug -‘Like’ my new Facebook fan page! :)
More new Photos will be up on the blog in the next 24 hours!

Weddings ~ Arthavelina & Gian
I’ve been counting down to this day since May 2010, when we first found out our dearest friend ‘Artha’, got engaged to her long time boyfriend of 7 years. She’s the first amongst our girlfriends to get married, so you can imagine how surprised, excited, happy we were!

A blast in the past… when we first found out she got engaged at her graduation! – The faces show all sorts of emotions, ha ha.
Artha had asked me to be her wedding photographer last year, and I was out of words – Back then, I had not started my wedding photography business and have only been taking up second shooter jobs. So she was my first wedding booking, ever! Honoured, and feeling slightly pressured – I hope I’ve done you proud my dear friends, A&G :)

My MUA friend, Yenn Xin did a beautiful job on the make up!

This isn’t the wedding band/engagement ring – but a ring which Artha’s Grandma gave her later on that day.

I’ve shot a number of weddings the past year and a half, and have often found myself getting a little caught up in my emotions during the most memorable parts of wedding days; saying their vows, and speeches at night, Despite not knowing the couple personally, I still felt some connection to them on their wedding day! So you can imagine what sort of challenge I put myself into once I stepped into the wedding photographer shoes and watched my friend proceed down the aisle!

Did I capture a little moment of emotions there? ;)

Us girls and the newly weds!

Photographers and the newly weds – I don’t usually dress up this much for my wedding jobs hehe. I tried my best to double up as a guest x photographer
The reception took place at Sergeants Mess in Chowder Bay, we got there nice and early to roam around the area for location shoot!

A furry visitor, he’s got so much character!
From the photos below, you will find that we had lots of fun = awesome bridal party!

{And another love story blossomed upstairs}

Yeah, I don’t know what the boys were doing – but I guess the groomsmen were doing what they are supposed to do, eh?

The guest table, featuring their Pre Wedding photos that we did months ago!

These cute table numbers were from Etsy I hear!

Before the Bridal Party’s grand entrance, *queue – Bruno Mars’ – Marry You*
