Weddings ~ Lily & Paul
After 10 years of dating, Lily & Paul tied the knot back in February. It was an exciting day just watching the two families come together and practising their respective wedding customs. Lily is Chinese so we had the chinese styled tea ceremony for her family and later on changed to the Vietnamese dress for the vietnamese styled tea ceremony for Paul’s side. I’ve always loved witnessing different cultural wedding traditions and always so colourful to photograph! This all happened in the morning, and the civil marriage ceremony took place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
All the official parts of the day had been ticked off, so we spent the few hours before reception capturing moments between the newly weds in a nearby park. We were so blessed with beautiful weather, not a single drop of rain that day!… well it did pour down during/after the reception but it was the least of our worries then! :)
The night was spent partying away with about 300 guests at Crystal Palace in Canley Heights.
Thank you Lily & Paul for having us photograph your big day!

Weddings ~ Ann & Alex
It didn’t feel so long ago since I first met Ann & Alex almost a year ago at our local Gloria Jeans discussing details for their wedding day and just a month ago they have officially tied the knot!
The day started with hair & make up at Watsons Bay Hotel, which was a short walk away from the ceremony and reception venue so there was definitely no rushing or traffic involved!

Weddings ~ Carla & Mark
I’ve been looking forward to blog this wedding for a while! but only just found time to sit down and put this together!
This was my last wedding of 2011 which I second shot for Bailie. It was a beautiful wedding to end the year with as I loved every detail of the day from the venue to most importantly the happy and so much in love newly weds, Carla and Mark.
Carla and Mark’s wedding was set about 1.5-2hours drive out of Sydney at Summerlees Cottage in the Southern Highlands. The venue was surrounded by paddocks, so you would hear the cows ‘moo’ every now and then to confirm that, yes you’re out of the City! It was the perfect venue for a country wedding.

Meet Andrew, the resident Peacock at Summerlees!

Loved the intricate details on Carla’s wedding dress!

Corsages for the church ushers

The bridesmaids preparing rose petals for the trail that leads guests to the reception!

I stumbled across a DIY tutorial on how to make your own rustic wooden table numbers! Love the detail of the numbers!

Carla styled the venue herself with the help of her bridal party! I think she did a great job putting it all together!

Instead of a cake, they had a dessert buffet!

All the locations you see above (excl. Church which was just 5mins drive out of the property) are located in Summerlees; and I believe there were still more beautiful spots that we didn’t get to!
Wishing you both a happy marriage, Carla & Mark!
and Thank you Bailie for asking me to second shoot for you!
