Engagements ~ Ann & Alex

Oct 20, 2011

I took a break from uni work and put together a little something for today..

Following on from my teaser post last weekish, here are a selection of shots from that Sunday Engagement shoot we had with Ann & Alex.

The theme of the shoot was, ‘nature’, which was an interest they both shared. So we found ourselves wondering through Australian bushland, found some lovely, peaceful locations to capture these shots!

Super sweet couple who effortlessly makes each other smile, laugh and tops it off with hugs and kisses.

I’m already looking forward to their Feb 2012 wedding!

Uni is almost officially over on Monday! and I’ll soon become from a Masters student to being ‘Unemployed’ aha…now back to the battle zone.

Just Teasing ~

Sep 18, 2011

Dearest friends,

I hope you’ve all had just as pleasant of a weekend as I had. It probably is the first weekend since Spring arrived in town that I could walk out in my Spring-wear, and wish that the weather could be as beautiful as today, everyday!

This weekend has been the first semi-lazy weekend in a long, long while. Past weekends I’ve had to get around to doing a million things, get to a million places at certain times/deadlines. Was stressful alright. I still had to get work done this weekend but I was able to do it at my own pace without having to try multitask.

I’m in a good mood today, (although a bit sleep deprived from late nights) after going for Sunday lunch and afternoon drive with my partner. We went for a walk in a national park North of Sydney and soaked in some golden light, truly enjoying every minute! I hope to make this a weekend/fortnightly thing for us; going for long walks in parks, beaches etc. It’s good to have a little get away from the computer. (Yup, sadly most of the stuff I do (and enjoy) are between the Macbook and I)

So, to wrap up this weekend, I’d like to share a teaser for what’s coming next on the blog.

Will introduce you to this loving couple later in the week :)

Lots of Love,

Clarissa

Sunday afternoon at Lope Lope, Santo, Vanuatu

Jan 26, 2011

Happy Aussie Day kids!

It’s going to be a scorching one too! :( What’s everyone doing today?

Myself, I’m at home trying to catch up with client work and blogging! Oh incase you haven’t realised through my foursquaring and twitter etc. I’ve actually been back in Sydney for 2 weeks already now! Sadly, since coming back the holiday atmosphere is GONE… and yes back to work. Preparing for UNSW PhotoClub‘s O-Week festivities, landed myself a few freelance web design jobs, photography etc. etc. So I have to say 2011 has really started with a *bang* and I’m still trying to keep up with it all! I mean it kind of sucks that these jobs aren’t really similar… so my mind is like divided =/ but I’m glad I’ve got them!!

Anyway, its been super long since I last blogged… hence I am still way behind with my holiday photos and posts… and I can’t not share them with you (: *I miss holidays!*

So…. one Sunday afternoon, Dad took us for afternoon dessert at Lope Lope (pronounced Lo-peh-Lo-peh), about 20min drive out of town. My parents have been bragging about this place all year… saying how awesome the architecture is and all. It probably is one of the more extravagant resorts outside of town. Also the first paint balling place, along with many extreme sports – jet skiing, horse riding, fishing, diving etc.etc.

You can imagine how wonderfully relaxing it is to sit just beside the water; on a hot day, getting a cool breeze. It’s a pity we went a little late though, because it wasn’t as sunny hence no blue skies, clear blue waters. Did not get to go there at midday during the trip :(

Super high ceilings… its interesting how locals use coconut leaves etc to put together roofs like these!

Vanuatu Water & Ice Coffee

So this is what we had for dessert; freshly made pavlova with berries (yum!) and creme brulee. Didn’t expect these to be eeeexciting but it’s pretty good for Santo! (can’t compare to the fancy pancy stuff we have in Sydney (: )

Only thing missing at this resort is, there really isn’t much of a beach…. the water is literally right there…. so no sun baking on the beach! unless the tides are low

Outdoor Paintball area

We also went there one night for dinner – pretty good and fairly affordable; around $20 per person. Not sure if I’ll blog the photos from that night, because lighting wasn’t all that great :( and flashed photos are eewy *from a point and shoot*

But anyways -
