New Branding. Check.

I’ve been waiting, and waiting for that inspiration, motivation and time to come around when I can finally put together branding for my Photography business. Honestly, I had no idea at the beginning of the year that I would land a handful of solo wedding and other photo jobs during this wedding season and already set for the first few months of 2012. Things happened, too quickly. Though, I’m grateful that people appreciate my work.

I’m a freelance graphic designer by trade designing logos etc. for businesses, and surprisingly found myself tangled up in my own indecisiveness about my branding.

What do I see in ‘Clarzzique Photography’?
What do I want potential clients to think of ‘Clarzzique Photography’?

Took me several months to discover my photography style; Candid, Natural and {hopefully} fun!

Which therefore inspired the look and feel that you see here.

I’ve been a little (more) than in love with floral illustrations lately; couldn’t design it myself as I’m not much of an artist…so I hired my sister to do it for me :P

The perks of having an inhouse illustrator+artist+fellow graphic designer. Win!

Initial ideas from her sketch book

Turned into reality overnight – I spent a ‘half-nighter’, quickly putting together a simple website which you can now access through www.clarzzique.com !

Tall grass, soft pastels, pinks, and florals highlighted one December afternoon…

Back in December, Bailie invited me to participate in a photoshoot organised by Candice to promote her new accessories collection for Spring/Summer. I met Candice at another collaborated photoshoot in November, as the hair stylist for that shoot, overtime I learnt that she sells handmade accessories for special occasions. I love her floral accessories, perfect for the girly girl :) So was glad I got to take part!

A week into being 21!

So… in a blink of an eye, it’s already been a week since I turned 21.

For a fact, there is no difference between being 21 or younger.. perhaps I’ve felt about 25 for the longest time.

I’ve look (1) forwarded, and (2) dreaded my 21st birthday celebrations.

1) I’ve been so eager to put together a dream birthday party, which much inspirations gathered from wedding blogs (yes, desperate much?), wanting to see all my friends together :)… i’ve never had a big birthday party before.. so this was a first

2) because I’ve never had a big party before, I’ve never imagined myself to manage hosting so many people! and scared I’d make a bad host… I probably have a fear of crowds or something haha ;( but yeah, the weather was so 50/50… i was studying the 48 hour forecasts leading up to the day!… because it could make a difference between celebrating at a park (ideal), and hiring a function room (expensive and boring :( )..

Fingers crossed with the weather forecast yesterday, with a chance of storm around midday – 3pm. Thank God it did not happen!

Just downside the weather was very indecisive the whole time, sunny blue skies, cloudy gloomy, sunny, gloomy etc. and yeah it worked out well… it started pouring when we packed up haha :D

i brought home this little friend the night before, knowing that he wouldn’t be going home with me after the party..

beautiful bunch of flowers; hot pink and green combo is so pretty! yes its in a tall tea pot :)

my handmade pom-poms, really added to the ‘spring’ theme, so much nicer than balloons!

a closer look at my photo frame section (where my friends took instax with me and pegged it on the frame :) ) hanging on the trees are also my baby/childhood photos – just for some laughs/eye candy.

on the cupcake stand…. don’t you just lovee the cupcake cases? they fitted in really nicely with the theme…

this was totally eye candy for me! love love loved it, my 2 friends managed to collaborate their decorations and their cupcakes to this theme really well… love it so so much! i regret for not personally snapping more photos of it :(
