The Seasons in Between

“To be interested in the changing seasons is a happier state of mind than to be hopelessly in love with spring.”
I had organized, yet another Portraiture Workshop for UNSW PhotoClub Members; 2 models, 16 snap-happy photographers.
Despite the cooler weather, it was fun, and hopefully worthwhile for the first timers! I didn’t shoot, so they could have a go at it, Lydia (the model) was great! I’ve never worked with a model who had such a great variety of poses, she was bam-bam-bam every second! Made me itch to shoot a little… so these are just a few shots I cropped from candids I took of the group.

Really enjoyed being part of the exec committee of the club in the past 9 months or so. I’ve made many friendships during this time, I have to honestly say, much more friends compared to from my own course! Different people who all share the love for Photography.
Realized, where one of my passion lies… in Photography. At the same time, it made me realized what I miss out on in my last few years of DSLR-photography. I have met photographers who specialize in macro, landscapes, black and white, photojournalism etc.etc. They all do such amazing jobs at what they are passionate about. I started off with an interest as a Portrait/Fashion Photographer, Photoclubbers have made me want to explore other fields of Photography! I think it would be quite rewarding, to capture beautiful non-portrait shots, of nature and such.Something I can frame and put up on my wall of beautiful things :)
I’m tempted to splurge on a 100mm 2.8L MACRO lens, but for now its impossible, as my bank balance will only go negative =(.
I need, a job, Please.
