[Weddings] Marianne & Tom
I second shot for Bailie the day after I came back from Japan. Although was still a little jet lagged from traveling, I was all up for it.
I wasn’t aware of what I was to expect, in terms of the theme for the big day and such, until I met the bride, Marianne. She slowly revealed segments of her wedding, from the hairstyle, her wedding dress, the colours etc.etc. … oh and the surprise kombi van as the transport for the day.. the wedding already appealed to me as lots of fun to shoot.
To begin with, I can sense she was going for the whole retro, rock chic style … with the yellow checkered wedding dress (definitely unique!) and the kombi.

I loved the little bits of detail, such as the vintage jewelry to match the theme, was absolutely beautiful.

I loved the colour theme she had chosen, yellow, hot pink, and white… totally chic!

Alice in wonderland inspired shot..
The weather wasn’t so friendly unfortunately, so I didn’t get to shoot much during the location shoots, but I did manage to sneak in a few shots :)

The rain worked to our advantage in this shot :) black and white loveliness.
Congratulations Marianne & Tom!
Many thanks to Bailie for letting me shoot alongside him, check his photos out!
P.S. Bailie set off my craving for a Canon 50mm 1.2 :( I’m still building up my savings again since purchasing the 24-70 f2.8L 3 months ago. My 50mm 1.4 is stuffed and need to take it to Ryde to get it fixed, I’m so sad, i’m one baby short for now :( … anyone generous enough to buy me a 50mm 1.2 for my 21st? :P …which is around 26days away….
